Purpose

LAMP Seminary is designed to train leaders for the local church. This comes from a conviction that the local church is THE place that God has designed as his tool for the expansion of his kingdom above all others. "so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.” --Ephesians 3:10.

LAMP is unique

LAMP provides a high-quality seminary education at a fraction of the cost of traditional seminary under the oversight of practicing pastors, not professors.

Each class is facilitated by a local pastor—which means that LAMP Students get the benefit of world-class resources (lectures and readings) taught by local pastors who are actually leading in ministry today. It is training for ministry in the local church by leaders of the local church. 

The total cost of LAMP Seminary is a fraction of the cost of a traditional seminary. This is because LAMP isn’t one campus but a network of learning sites throughout the US and abroad, to help equip men and women for Gospel ministry.

WHO IS LAMP FOR?

LAMP Seminary’s unique structure allows anyone called to the ministry to earn a Bachelors or Masters of Divinity while serving in ministry, working in their career, raising a family or in whatever situation God has placed you.

LAMP RDU is one of many seminary sites in a network and is located in the Greater Triangle Area, comprised of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, NC. Our classes are held in various locations in downtown Raleigh.
