Church Leadership Class Begins!

Our second class will be Church Leadership (Mar. 2 - April 6). This class will be a study of the life and work of the pastor, elder, and deacon from an historical and biblical perspective. This course will explore in depth the ministry of pastoral care and the work of elders and deacons. (Deadline to apply is Feb. 9)

Facilitators - Willie Harris & Geoff Bradford

Willie Harris serves as the Lead Pastor of Mt. Zion Church in Cary, NC, where he is responsible for preaching and teaching. His passion is to transform the lives of people by equipping them to become disciples of Jesus Christ. In addition to serving at Mt. Zion, Willie works as a software engineer at IBM. 

Geoff Bradford currently serves as Senior Pastor at Christ the King Presbyterian Church in downtown Raleigh. He has a BA in English from Davidson College and an MDiv from Westminster Seminary. Geoff helped plant a movement of churches in downtown Philadelphia called Liberti, then moved to Raleigh in 2011 to pastor CtK.

First Class!

Our first class is History of Redemption (Jan. 12 - Feb. 16). This class focuses on grasping the Big Story of the Bible. We will undertake a Biblical-theological study of God's self-revelation in the history of redemption, culminating in Christ and the Scriptures. The class emphasizes the thematic unity of kingdom, covenant, and mediator, the inspiration and perfection of Holy Scripture, as well as the basic principles of biblical interpretation. 

Facilitator - Pastor John Musgrave (Clayton Community Church)

John Musgrave is a high school valedictorian who grew up in Upstate New York and Columbus, Ohio.  He graduated magna cum laude from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, with a B.A. in English, History, and Pre-Med.  After serving six years with the ministries of CRU and Athletes in Action, he attended and graduated with an M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary (Orlando), where he assisted in teaching Greek to first-year students and served as an assistant to the academic dean.  Upon graduation, he planted Clayton Community Church (Clayton, NC), where he still serves as pastor.  He has served his denomination in eastern North Carolina for 10 years on the committee that examines candidates seeking ordination as pastors.
